What the project is for
Work-hour calculations look simple until overnight shifts, unpaid breaks, decimal conversions, and overtime premiums appear in the same pay period. This project keeps those steps visible and gives employees, managers, freelancers, and payroll teams a quick independent arithmetic check.
The site is designed as a calculator first. Every main page opens with a working tool, followed by the formula, examples, and limits needed to understand the result.
Choose the tool for your question
Employees can check a weekly total before comparing it with a pay statement. Managers and payroll teams can reproduce simple arithmetic from source clock records. Freelancers and contractors can convert tracked time into decimal hours before preparing an invoice.
The tools are intentionally narrow. The weekly calculator totals seven days, the work hours calculator checks one shift, the decimal converter changes time formats, and the overtime page estimates pay from a threshold and multiplier supplied by the user.
How to check a result
Shared calculation functions handle time parsing, cross-midnight duration, break deductions, decimal conversion, and overtime arithmetic. Display values are separated from the underlying minute totals so rounding a label does not silently change weekly pay math.
The methodology page explains the arithmetic and assumptions. Reproduce a result by subtracting the start time from the end time in minutes, removing unpaid break minutes, and dividing by 60 only when decimal hours are needed. Compare that calculation with your original clock records before using an estimate.
Your entries and records
Current calculator values are processed in the browser. The site does not require an account or save a calculation-history profile. Users who need a record can print or copy the visible weekly summary after checking it.
Browser-local processing is not a substitute for secure recordkeeping. Payroll records, employee identifiers, approvals, and supporting documents should remain in the authorized system chosen by the user or organization, not in an informal calculator session.
Decisions the calculator cannot make
The site does not determine whether time is compensable, whether a break is paid, whether an employee is overtime-eligible, or which threshold and multiplier the law requires. It does not calculate taxes, deductions, benefits, leave accrual, or final payroll.
Calculator results are estimates based only on the values entered. Authoritative records, current rules, employment agreements, and qualified professional guidance take precedence.

The project is maintained under the GitHub account zhang632932. Calculator descriptions and examples are published by this project; they are not certifications or endorsements by an employer, government agency, or payroll professional.
A useful calculator should make errors reproducible. When reporting a problem, include the page, anonymous input values, the result shown, and the arithmetic you expected. Do not send employee names, payroll documents, government identifiers, or other sensitive information.
Content and accessibility feedback are also welcome through the contact page. Clear reports help us distinguish a calculation defect from an input-format issue, browser behavior, or a policy question that the calculator is not designed to answer.
